I learned that there was no royalty in The MacLean castle. Instead, there was a Lady and a Chief. Mrs. Pauley told us that a few castles have a King and a Queen but most castles don't have royalty. By Hanna

In the castle, there is a room called The Great Hall. It has a big table. This is where they eat their food.
By Mya Mrs. Pauley's Dad was part of the MacLean clan. A clan is a group of people that are in a family. They all live in the castle. Mrs. Pauley's great, great grandpa lived in the castle.
By Madisyn This castle is really old. It was built in the 1800's. Some people still live in it. It is in really good shape for being so old.
By Marty I learned that the castle had catapults and canons. They built castles for their protection. They used canons and catapults to keep the villains from getting in the castle. This was years ago. There's no fighting now.
By Aidan The servants gave the clan food to eat. They also cleaned up everything. They did the dishes. They worked all over the castle. They lived in the castle too.
By Chris The knights and guards went to the courtyard to practice fighting. The courtyard is a big grassy area outside of the castle and it is close to the castle.
By Harley The guards are there to protect the castle. If someone comes to steal something in the castle the guards will take them to the dungeon. The guards stand at the top of the castle. They can see a long ways away. They also stand by the doors.
By Livi There were lots of rooms in the castle because lots of people lived there. Guests stayed there to help out if they were at war. The clan lived there. The clan was the big group of people that were family- like aunts and uncles and grandmas and grandpas . Lots of servants lived there too. There were guest rooms, kitchens, great hall and a big pantry that was always locked. There was a safe room with treasures. Maybe there was a weapon room. The bathroom had only a little curtain and the toilet didn't flush. It was just a hole that went all the way down through the castle to the ground.
